Nancy Toelle left a message on May 25, 2026:
Cyndi will be remembered as a compassionate care giver and devoted mother with family first values. She tirelessly raised her four children, while working full time nights as a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nurse at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. She adored children. As a child, her family moved to the Cooper Park neighborhood when she was starting first grade, and I attended school with her from 1st through 12th grades at 81st St. School, Wilbur Wright Jr. High, and Marshall High School. In her youth , she was a lover of medical TV dramas such as Dr. Kildare and Ben Casey, MD. I can still picture her watching Dr. Kildare reruns in the family room of her home on summer afternoons. Actor Richard Chamberlain starred in the Dr. Kildare tv show in the early to mid-sixties; Cyndi was enamored with him and the hospital setting. This was the start of her aspirations to become a nurse, and she succeeded in reaching this goal. In the last years of our friendship, we enjoyed "fun in the sun" poolside in Las Vegas, Vegas shows, Milwaukee and Elm Grove theatre performances, and Milwaukee symphony holiday concerts. I'll miss having our regular Tuesday morning coffee together, where we would share laughter and conversation. Cyndi truly loved all of her children and grandchildren, and I'm sure she will be on watch for them from heaven. Nancy Toelle
