Brad Taylor, 62, of Muskego, passed away unexpectedly on May 5, 2026, leaving behind a life rooted in family, love, and friends who meant the world to him.
Brad was there for the big moments, small moments, and all the ordinary days in between. Things just felt better when he was around and he found a way of making everything easier.
He grew up in Wisconsin, shaped in part by his family’s Canadian ties, and learned early on the value of hard work, humor, and not taking life too seriously. Those traits stayed with him. Whether he was on the job, on a hiking trail, or playing a game around a kitchen table with family, Brad brought quick wit, along with a competitive spirit with the occasional questionable approach that kept things interesting.
Brad attended the Milwaukee School of Engineering, earning a degree in Electrical Engineering Technology in 1994, and later completed his MBA with a graduate certificate in Financial Analysis from DeVry University in 2014. Over the years, he built a career with Cherry Electrical Products, Magnetek, Wisconsin Thermoset, Sentry Equipment, and most recently Plibrico Company, where he became known as the kind of person who quietly got things done and was always there when someone needed help.
He was a devoted husband to Carrie and a proud dad to Josh and Katie. Some of his best moments were the simple ones with them, time at the lake, laughing together, traveling as a family, and watching Josh and Katie grow through every stage of life, usually with a few unsolicited opinions from him along the way. He also shared a close bond with his brother, Brian, and sister, Lee, along with their spouses, and was a proud uncle to his many nieces and nephews, all of whom brought a great deal of joy to his life.
Brad loved the outdoors, a good bike ride, a round of golf, and more recently, any chance to be in the air as he worked toward becoming a pilot. He was at his best when he was helping someone, fixing something, or just being surrounded by the people he loved.
A celebration of Brad’s life will be held on May 16, 2026 at New Berlin Hills Golf Course, 13175 West Graham Street, New Berlin, Wisconsin from 5:00 PM – 7:30 PM. In true Brad fashion, it won’t be formal, but it will be filled with stories, laughter, and those moments where everyone just says, “yeah, that’s Brad.”
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you spend time with the people you love. Share a meal, get outside, or simply be together. Donations in Brad’s memory may also be made to Friends of Peninsula State Park or the Door County Land Trust.
