Ronald Michael Krajcik, surrounded by his family, was reunited with his beloved wife, Colleen, his parents, Mike and Phyllis Krajcik, and dear friends in eternity on February 23, 2026.
Ron was a devoted husband, brother, father, grandfather and friend. His wife and family were his passion and joy. He served his country during Vietnam stationed in Europe with men who would become life long friends. Upon return, he married the love of his life Colleen (née Shanahan). Ron worked for decades as a draftsman starting with the US Forest service drafting the templates that would be used to print maps used by millions of people to enjoy the land. He went on to work on many civil engineering projects such as the Hoan Bridge, The War Memorial Center, and the Deep Tunnel project in Milwaukee.
He had a deep love and awe for the outdoors which he passed on to his children through camping adventures, weekends at his brother Tom’s cabin, summers watching caterpillars turn into butterflies and tending the garden he meticulously planned each year to grow flowers and food for the family.
Ron also taught his children how to have meaningful long lasting relationships with a slew of friendships lasting over 60 years and a marriage to Colleen lasting over 50 years. Ron and Colleen also valued making space for their children to grow into exactly who they were meant to be while providing an example of what being a family means, a legacy that will last for generations.
He is survived by his children: Nick (Michelle) Krajcik, Tanya (Mike) Stotler, Anna Krajcik, Katee (Mark) Holcomb, and Joe (Amanda) Krajcik. His grandchildren Michael and Chloe Stotler, Ollie and Hilde Holcomb, and his great grandson Stellan Adler (Stotler). His sister Susan O’Shea, Tom (Kim) Krajcik, and Mary (Bob) Peterson and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Please join the family at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin for a Celebration of Life on his 84th birthday, Tuesday, March 3, 2026. Visitation from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM, service to follow at 6:00 PM with military honors.
