In 2019, I met her (Aunty Akkama garu) at her Guntur residence along with her eldest daughter. We discussed many things, and I observed her simple and humble way of living. She was raised in an Indian freedom-fighter family. Her father, the late Sri Katragadda Raghuramaiah garu, was a well-known freedom fighter in Andhra Pradesh and a strong follower of our Nation’s Father, Mahatma Gandhi garu. Even at that time, 2019, she was still using a landline phone.
As our closest relative, I will never forget her and the memories we shared. My eldest brother’s son, Anup, grew up with her as her grandson during his childhood until the age of seven, and she cared for him with great affection. The Bogineni family will always remain grateful to her and honor her with the deepest respect.
May her soul rest in peace.
