Pat Young, age 83, of Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2025. Born on March 17, 1942, in Brooklyn, New York, Pat was the beloved daughter of Helen and Tom Casey, who preceded her in death.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 63 years, Glenn R. Young. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Pat was the proud mother of Glenda Egstad (née Young) and son-in-law Bill Egstad. She was a deeply loved grandmother to Erin Lau (née Egstad) and husband Kam Lau, Colleen Egstad and fiancé Eric Regal, and Kelly Egstad. She is further survived by several nieces and nephews. A devoted homemaker she poured her heart into everything she did—whether it was cooking delicious meals, tending her garden, sewing, crocheting, needlepointing, or reading. Her home was always a reflection of her generous spirit and love for her family.
Outside of her family, Pat’s greatest passion was her dogs. She had a lifelong love for animals, especially the Irish Glen of Imaal Terrier. Her commitment to the breed led her to import several Glens from Ireland and establish the Glen of Imaal Terrier Club. Through her work, she helped promote and preserve this rare and beloved breed. Pat also served as a respected dog show judge for the United Kennel Club, traveling across the country and sharing her knowledge and enthusiasm with fellow dog lovers.
Pat’s warmth, strength, and vibrant personality will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
