We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved Rajeshwar Dua on July 20, 2024. Born in a small village in India on July 18, 1943, Rajeshwar faced the adversity of losing his father at age four. Destiny soon brought him, his mother, and his young sister to Pilani, India. From a very young age, he embraced family responsibilities, believing firmly that hard work and determination were the pathways out of poverty. Despite starting life with little, Rajeshwar achieved his Master’s degree from the prestigious BITS, Pilani, and went on to become a senior scientist and research scholar at CEERI, Pilani. After retirement, he devoted his time as the Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering, where he continued to inspire young minds with his passion and expertise. His core values of honesty and diligence inspired him and those around him to transcend boundaries and achieve the seemingly impossible.
His profound belief in the transformative power of education led his sons to pursue graduate studies and careers in the USA. Those who knew Rajeshwar will forever remember him as a beacon of unwavering love, boundless joy, and steadfast honesty. His passion for music and deep faith in God kept him humble and dedicated throughout his life. Having spent his last ten years in the USA, he left a lasting impact on everyone he met with his infectious laughter, love for old songs, and his unique ability to connect with people from all walks of life.
He was the devoted husband of Nishchint for 55 wonderful years, a caring brother to Pushpa Nanchahal, and a cherished father to his three sons, Amit, Sumit, and Namit, along with their wives, Sarah, Prachi, and Hemangi. Rajeshwar was also a loving grandfather to five grandchildren: Radhika, Ronak, Tavishi, Taksh, and Meenali. His extended family and countless friends will miss him dearly.
