Cheryl Hintze (nee Nyhus)
Cheryl Ione Hintze passed away peacefully February 15, 2024, at Angels Grace Hospice in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin at the young age of 74.
Cheryl was born in Madison, WI, September 19, 1949, to the late Clifford and Constance Nyhus. She was recently preceded in death by her sister, Anita and is survived by her brother, Clyde Nyhus (June).
Cheryl leaves behind her devoted husband, Don, of 52 years, three wonderful children Peter, Dan and Laura, loving daughter-in-law Christine and three adoring grandchildren Aaron, Katelyn and Addison. She is further survived by her sister-in-law Donna Lang (Don), four nephews, special cousin, Anne Mikkelson, many other cousins and decades of great friends.
Cheryl was a gifted baker, artist and musician but she will be most remembered for the kind of person she was. She had so many friends because she knew how to be a friend. Her quiet but unshakable faith in her Lord and Savior was an inspiration to all who knew her.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff and volunteers at Angels Grace for the gentle and loving care they gave Cheryl over the last 10 weeks of her life. These are truly very special people.
Visitation will be held February 26, 2024, from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM, with service to follow at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 20275 Davidson Road, Brookfield, Wisconsin.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Angels Grace Hospice would be appreciated.
