Jeffrey S. Hogan (65) passed into eternal life on January 30th, 2024 in his home, surrounded by family, following a battle with cancer. Born to his loving parents Walter and Shirley (nee Goll) Hogan on November 29th, 1958. Beloved and devoted husband to wife Terry (nee Weickardt) for over 35 years. Loving father to Shannon Hattenhauer, Kaelyn (Fiance Matt Kern), and Zach Hogan. Proud grandpa of Lauren, Reece and Tessa Hattenhauer.
Jeff is further survived by his father Walter (Wife Diane), cherished siblings; Dennis (Patty) Hogan, Diane (Dick) Bilda, Terry “The Weeze” (Donna) Hogan, and Tracy (Jeff) Arman; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Thomas Weickardt, Carol Weickardt, Dale (Pauline) Weickardt and Sandy Weickardt, his nieces and nephews, and many close friends.
Jeff had a deep love for his family, friends, the sport of baseball, and his career as a MPS educator. As a proud graduate of Carthage College, he was a PE/Health teacher and long time Varsity head baseball coach at Milwaukee Hamilton High School, his alma mater. As a reflection of his dedication and excellence in coaching, he was inducted into the Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2014. In his “retirement” he spent his time playing senior softball/baseball, prepping the baseball diamonds for the Milwaukee County Parks and coaching softball at New Berlin Eisenhower with his daughter. His positive attitude and upbeat outlook on life will continue to live on through those that knew him. He is an inspiration to all.
He is preceded in death by his mom Shirley, grandmother Theresa “Nana” Goll, Aunt Joyce “AJ” Morey, in-laws Marvin and Jean Weickardt, sister-in-law Lorrie Weickardt and brother-in-law Jerry Weickardt.
