Janice Mae Burton (nee Rapp) passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, September 17th, 2023 at age 97. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Peter Burton. Sympathies, thoughts and prayers to Janice's family. Janice was my church "Shut-In Buddy" for many years. We shared so many wonderful times during my visits with her. It was always a treasured time together. I so enjoyed her stories about growing up, her family ancestry searches back to the 1500's, the cookbook she wrote by hand and gave to her children. Janice appreciated the help given to her by her many family members, including her children, grandchildren, etc. She showed me the baptismal gown she handmade (when she was in her 90's) for her great-granddaughter (which was absolutely gorgeous),and there were so many more stories she shared. Our devotions together, prayers together and our laughter, too was always special. Janice always had a smile, no matter how she felt that particular day. I miss her so much, and thank God for the times we had together. Until we meet again, as she is now with Our Lord and Savior. God's Blessings and My Love, Carolyn
