A special thanks to Vitas hospice nurse Tammy and Dr. Liang for her selfless care and compassion they showed Katie.
Katie graduated from Brookfield Central High School class of 2014 and proudly earned her Bachelors Degree in Communication despite battling cancer. Katie loved all things Disney, Star Wars and Harry Potter. Katie was a Swiftie from the start, she went to the Eras Tour in June with her sister and best friend Emily. She loved Reads by the River and supporting small businesses. She had more books (in Opa’s words) than Carter has liver pills. She loved her Birthday and giving gifts. She loved spending time at the cabin up north and daily trips to Nothern Delights. She was the kindest, sweetest soul we’ve ever known. She was gentle and beautiful. She was funny and her laugh was contagious. She was selfless and the bravest person we know. To her, Life was about the people she loved, and she loved fiercely.
Katie did this journey her way and we couldn’t be prouder. As promised- Goodbye Gerry! |
