Rodolfo “Rudy” P. Suaverdez, MD, born to life on March 25, 1939 in the Philippines, was born to eternal life on July 12, 2023 with his loving wife at his side.
He was predeceased by his parents Pedro Ramos Suaverdez, Sr. and Anceta Lim (Pabico) Suaverdez, and his brother Pedro and sister in law Lourdes Suaverdez.
He is survived by his loving wife Dr. Alicia Suaverdez, his brother Sesinando (Cindy) Suaverdez, and sister Zenaida Suaverdez, his niece Sylvia (Alec) Yen, nephews Sesinando (Kiera) Suaverdez and Anthony Suaverdez and many other nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
Dr. Suaverdez began his medical career after graduating from Far Eastern University in the Philippines in 1964. His residency training continued at V. Luna Army Medical Center in General medicine in Quezon City, Philippines from 1964-1967 and continued until 1972 as a civilian medical officer. He and Alicia made their way to Wisconsin where he began a residency in Family practice at Deaconess Hospital from 1972-1975 and later worked in General medicine at Steven’s Clinic Hospital in Welch, Virginia from 1975-1978. Rudy and Alicia later returned to Milwaukee, Wisconsin where they enjoyed unparalleled friendships and family relationship where he was employed at the Herrington Clinic and at Aurora clinics from 1978-2017.
Rudy was a quiet, generous soul with a quick and humorous wit. He had a tremendous fashion sense with a penchant for carpentry and precision craftsmanship. His vocation was his dedication to his patients through the practice of Medicine. This was made evident through the reciprocity of love shared from his patients. He was loved by all and will be missed by all his friends, colleagues, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Your quiet demeanor and loving tone will be forever in our hearts. May you find solace in the strength of our Lord’s embrace and warmth wrapped in the mantle of our Mother Mary.
Visitation at from 4:00 PM – 5:45 PM, followed by a Service at 6:00 PM, on Wednesday, July 19, 2023 at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin.
