Michael “Mike” A. Kapp (Oconomowoc) – peacefully passed away on January 19, 2023 at the age of 73 surrounded by his family as his favorite songs played.
Loving husband of Karen Kapp for 51 years. Cherished father of Jennifer (Justin) Beres and Sarah (James) Doyle Jr. Adored grandfather of Alivia, Landon, Ashlyn, and Ella Beres. Further survived by dear sisters Kathleen (Dennis) Kapp-Simon, Rosie Kapp, and Julie (Larry) Ganschow and best friend of 45 years Jim Higgins.
Mike attended Blessed Sacrament School, Boys’ Tech High School, and he received a Master’s degree from UW-Milwaukee. He was a decorated Vietnam United States Army veteran. He worked as an engineering marketing manager for medical products until he retired at the age of 68.
Mike had a love for golf and music and played in various bands. He treasured his trips to Vero Beach, Florida and one of his greatest joys was being actively involved in the lives of his children and grandchildren. Mike had a heart of gold, was a man of his word, and brought smiles and laughter to those around him. He will be deeply missed by numerous family and friends.
The family would like to thank Dr. Longo and the bone marrow transplant team at Froedtert Hospital for the excellent care. A special thank you to sister Julie for being his bone marrow donor and to sister Rosie for attending so many of his medical appointments.
Visitation from 1:00 PM – 2:45 PM, followed by a Celebration of Life with full military honors at 3:00 PM on Sunday, February 5, 2023 at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin.
