Arbutus Josephine Bachmann

Our beloved mother, Arbutus Josephine Bachmann (nee Steinley) passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at age 98.

She was born in Kansas on August 21, 1924, daughter of the late Arthur and Elizabeth Steinley. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brothers Monroe and Arthur Steinley, husbands Alfred H. Eckhart, Thomas G. Bachmann and son Alfred (Al) Eckhart.

She is survived by her daughters, Bonnie (Phil) Desmond, Donna (Alex) Horvat Sr., daughter-in-law Jody Eckhart, grandchildren Alex (Jessica) Horvat Jr., Alan (Carolyn) Horvat, Aaron (Corinne) Eckhart, Dana (George) Kay, Jason (Leah) Eckhart, great-grandchildren and many dear relatives and friends.

Her pastimes included crocheting, quilling and many unique crafts. Her favorite color was PINK! One would be hard-pressed to not find a Werthers candy tucked away in the pockets of her jackets.

The family wishes to extend a special Thank You to the Staff of The Bay at St. Ann Health and Rehabilitation Center for their loving and compassionate care. Many thanks to Leticia and Eva for providing Arbutus comfort over the past four years.

Mom (Grandma), you will always be loved, remembered, and missed.
