Age 92, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 28, 2010, the eve of Helen and Joe Langer's 58th wedding anniversary. Helen joined her husband in peace, after suffering over a decade with Alzheimer's disease.She will join those who preceded her; her parents; a sister; three brothers; a granddaughter; and many close family members and friends.Helen was formerly employed with the State of Wisconsin in Madison, where she lived prior to meeting and marrying Clarence, "Joe", aka; "Tootie" Langer. Helen was very active in her church and community. She belonged to the Ladies Auxiliary, Women's Club, Couples Club, and sang in the church choir. She was a stay-at-home wife and mother.She and Joe raised two surviving daughters, Jane Gutmann (Peter) of Menomonee Falls, and Lynn Ann Sullivan (Joe) of Waterloo. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Kelly Thurnbauer (Rory), Courtney Krueger and Paul Gutmann along a great-grandson, Brenden Thurnbauer, nieces, nephews, family and friends.Visitation will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 226 E. Madison St., Waterloo, on Thursday, March 4, 2010, from 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. The Service will follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Waterloo, or Odyssey Health Care of Milwaukee would be appreciated.
