Passed away peacefully Saturday, July 10, 2010. Daughter of the late Hugh and Anabel (nee Deskin) Edmiston. Prececeded in death by husband Howard. Passed away peacefully Saturday, July 10, 2010. Daughter of the late Hugh and Anabel (nee Deskin) Edmiston. Prececeded in death by husband Howard. Survived by children James, Anne (John) Morrison, Patricia (Mark) Liberto and David (Donna). Loving grandmother of Rebecca (John) Hodge, Kimberly (Johnny) Morrison, Mark E. Liberto, and Alex, Christian, and Lissa Hoelke. Further survived by great grandchildren Branden and Devon Hodge, relatives and friends. Byrll was born July 15, 1918 and graduated from New Ulm High School in 1935 and the University of Missouri in 1939 with a Journalism degree. After secretarial school, she became editor of the La Palata Home Press weekly paper. As a US Navy Reserve Lieutenant, she was involved with encoding and decoding US military messages in Washington DC. After honorable discharge, she married Howard on April 21, 1945. She worked as Executive Assistant at Mayfair Mall, dispatched temporary help with Manpower and performed several other jobs with the same passion she gave to her life. As a founder of the Wauwatosa Village Playhouse, she was honored with the first annual Byrll Hoelke Award for her selfless giving in 1982. Byrll moved from her home of 30 years in Wauwatosa to National Regency, where her health stabilized for many years. Our special thanks go out to the folks at National Regency and Virginia Health and Rehab. for their loving care. Byrll will be remembered for her humor, dynamic personality, energy, loving faith and devotion to her family.We will be celebrating her new life with Lord Jesus on her 92nd birthday. Visitation at REDEMPTION LUTHERAN CHURCH,4057 North Mayfair Rd, Thurs. July 15, 2010, 10-11am. Funeral Service 11am. Interment at Southern Wisconsin Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, Union Grove. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Village Playhouse of Wauwatosa are appreciated.
