Of Wauwatosa. 68 years old, passed away at his daughter's home on Wednesday, August 28, 2013. He is again with his beloved wife of 44 years in heaven. Regi was born in Richland Center, Wisconsin, on February 3, 1945, to Harold William and Madelyn Rita (Gundlach) Anderson. He spent a part of his childhood in Lone Rock, Wisconsin, and eventually moved to the Milwaukee area in the mid-1950s. While attending Juneau High School, he met the love of his life, Franciska Both. They married on May 13, 1967, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. They had a daughter and a son, and lived in Wauwatosa for over 30 years. Regi and Fran walked nearly every day of their lives together with their dogs and kids in tow, covering 2 to 5 miles a day no matter the weather. His heart broke the day that Fran passed away in 2011, dimming the sparkle in his eyes and depressing the zest in his laughter. Regi was the consummate funny man, always ready with some joke or fabulous story to tell. He worked as a pharmaceutical sales rep for nearly 40 years, starting first with Rowell Laboratories based out of Baudette, Minnesota, in 1970. It was eventually bought out and became Reid-Rowell and then finally Solvay Pharmaceu- ticals based out of Belgium. He won numerous sales awards and trips over the years and truly enjoyed being a salesman, calling on doctors' offices and pharmacies to detail them on the most recent drugs available. He retired in 2007 to spend time with his wife. He loved being a member of the Milwaukee Veteran Pharmacists Association where his humor and social skills were always in play. He is survived by two children, Franciska Jean of Oregon, WI. and Scott (Nelly); two grandchildren, Isabella and Alexander; and half-sister, Linda. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many wonderful friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, father, and wife.
Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home, 12401 West National Avenue, on Wednesday, September 4, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Additional visitation will be held on Thursday, September 5, at ST. VINCENT PALLOTTI CATHOLIC CHURCH, 201 North 76th Street, at 10:30 AM, until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11:30AM, with Father John Scheer officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staffs of Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa and Meriter Hospital in Madison. Thank you also to the staff at Oregon Manor and for the wonderful people who serve with Agrace Hospice in the Madison area.
