Died peacefully on March 18, 2016, at the age of 91. Devoted husband of Betty (nee Odahl), for 66 years. Loving father of Sandra Lee (Dick) Wals, Steven (Sharon) Mattson, and John (Marcy) Mattson. Proud grandfather of 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Pat (Ewald) Dahlquist. Also loved by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation at Luther Manor Faith and Education Center, 4545 North 92nd Street, Milwaukee, WI on Saturday, March 26, 2016, from 11:00-1:00 PM. Service at 1:00 PM.

Dick proudly served in the US Army Air Force/Air Corps during WWII. He was a dedicated employee at AO Smith, for 37 years, retiring as the manager of the Engineering Department.

A special thank you to the Luther Manor staff and hospice program for their exceptional care of Dick.
