Bob grew up in Cudahy, Wisconsin, the youngest of four siblings. He attended Pius XI High School where he excelled in track and field and ultimately won a state championship. He enrolled at UW Stout where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Education. This education led to a more than 30-year career as a Tech Education teacher in Milwaukee Public Schools with significant stints at Story School and Custer High School. He taught a wide range of technical disciplines during his career including drafting, woodworking, and metallurgy and even spent several semesters as an on-site instructor for Habitat for Humanity builds. Bob had a wide range of interest beyond the tech trades. He enjoyed volunteering in his community for groups such as the Layton Boulevard West Neighbors Association and the Polish Center of Wisconsin. He loved gardening, taking care of his cats, helping neighbors in need and attending Wisconsin Badger football games.
