Passed away on November 30, 2018 at age 88 and joined his sons, his parents and his friends that preceded him in the afterlife.
Bill served in the Air Force and was a veteran of the Korean War. After leaving the Air Force, he became an apprentice Tool and Die maker at Eaton/Cutler Hammer. Later he became a Tool and Die designer and a manufacturing Engineer specializing in automation. He retired from Eaton/Cutler Hammer after 41 years.
After raising his family, Bill joined the Vagabond Ski Club and pursued a variety of recreational interests such as snow skiing, biking, tennis, golf and traveling. He organized many events, served on the board of Directors and as President.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Anita (nee Rosecki) Knopf, and both his sons, Edward A. and Steven S. Knopf. He is survived by his special friend Joanne Katrosits, his feline friend Sam and many friends.
Visitation at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin, on Friday, December 7, from 10:00 AM – 12:45 PM. Celebration of Life at 1:00 PM. Burial at Wisconsin Memorial Park with Military Honors.
