Judi and I offer our prayers and condolences to the entire Bednar family, but especially Georgia and Erica. We have been long term friends of the Bednars since the 1970's, and are shocked to hear about Randy's passing this evening. Know that our thoughts are with you.

Georgia and Family, It is very hard to grasp the passing of Randy from this world to the next. We always believe there will be another day that we can talk and see that person in the future. I guess there are no guarantees in life. We recall our new neighbors moving in across the street on Wildlife Drive in Racine as it was yesterday, new neighbors from England is what we thought? We recall a small boy named Tony with a British accent, but we would soon learn our new neighbors were from Racine. Over the years we became good friends, saw the kids grow, had dinner together, talked outside in the Summer, played tennis once, I was a poor looser. Georgia was a good nurse, she helped bandage a surgical site that had become concerning to me, it was a little embarrassing, since the surgery was located on my well lets say an upper leg area, thank you Georgia. And then there was the time Erica caught her finger in the trunk of the car and Arlene came to the rescue after hearing her screaming. And there was the time Tony tried the trick of placing his tongue in Winter against the stop sign post and it became frozen to the pole, Dom to the rescue. Then there is Becky and Nora, we cannot forget you because you were wonderful also. Randy we will miss you, because you were a good friend, great neighbor, husband, father, grandfather and one great person I wish I could have told you in person. Georgia, we are in Florida at this time, our hearts and thoughts are with you in Wisconsin. We shall see you sometime in the near future, I promise. Dom and Arlene LoPiccolo

Randy became a very dear friend over fifty years. We knew each other sparingly in the sixties on the south side of Racine and then renewed when he joined Twin Disc in the mid-seventies. We then became doubles tennis partners, golfed together and enjoyed the company of each other’s family for several years. He always would reach out and stay in touch even though he and family were far away. It was great to have them settle back in Wisconsin. Randy was an extraordinary person. One of those guys that would excel at anything he attempted. I have many memories over the years that will remind me of his wit, humor and compassion and will miss him dearly.

I am so very saddened to learn of Randy's passing away. What a gentle and dear soul has been taken too soon from his beautiful family. I'm so sorry Georgia. I remember him giving his mother's eulogy. It was so characteristic of Randy; softly spoken, humble, honest and with great love. I'll always remember my cousin. The Barry family has another angel.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

One of the my biggest blessings has been getting to know this impressive man over the past 20 years. His calm, thoughtful nature and intelligent wit only scratch the surface of his many admirable traits. When recently taking an inventory of who has meant the most on my journey, there were key family members as one might expect - and just a few others, Randy being one. We are still trying to process this news. To Georgia and family: Please accept our heartfelt condolences. To Randy: Enjoy heaven, my friend.

Note to Randy in Heaven: It’s hard to know that you had left this life of yours so soon. I always knew it was you who would call me because you would call me “Layla” and not Lily. I knew Layla had to be a name you really liked, and I was happy to know that one of your granddaughters was given that name when she was born. I enjoyed working for you and will always be grateful for your confidence in me. I hope you will find my good friend, Dan C, up there by you. He loved to play golf as much as you. The two of you should get along really well. Rest in peace Randy. - Lily “Layla”

I am so sad to hear of Randy's passing. I worked indirectly for Randy at AOSmith within the IT department and can remember his gentle and kind way. Randy always had some wonderful stories to tell of his travels, his family and his friends. He has been missed around here by many since retiring. I'm sure he will be missed greatly by all of his friends and family. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers during this most difficult time.

It is hard to believe that Randy has passed away at such a young age. I last saw and spoke with him at his mother’s funeral a couple of years back. I laughed when he told me about winning his Harley and then deciding to keep it. And then to ride it! My sincere condolences go out to all family members. Cousin Jack Bartz and wife Renee

I did not know Randy as well as others but the times I did were always so sweet. He had a great smile and always asked about my family and me with sincere interest and care. I was also fortunate to part of the celebration of his mom's life, Helen where Randy gave the most beautiful eulogy as a tribute to his mom. Randy will always be remembered as a caring and loving man who thought of others before himself. I am so glad that I got to know him. My thoughts and prayers go out to his whole family during this time of sorrow.
