Senior Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force, fought a courageous battle with cancer and entered into Eternal Life and was reunited with his mother Kathy on Sunday, August 2, 2020 at age 38. Beloved husband of Jennifer (nee Krause) for 15 years. Loving dad of Anthony and Aria. Inspirational brother of Ken (Julie), Angela (Aaron), Bradford, Dan, Adam (Kristin), Nate (Katie), Ashley, Zachary and the late Evelyn. Proud son of James (the late Kathy), Gerard, and Dinah. Adored uncle of 12 nieces and nephews. Also loved by aunts and uncles, cousins, other family, members of the 128th Air Refueling Wing and friends.
Dennis was the type of person that when a person met him, they knew that someone special had touched their life.
Dennis was a family man who loved his wife and kids! He always helped others when they needed a hand even when he was fighting his battle with Cancer he made sure his family was taken care of. Dennis was his son’s Cub Scout leader for Troop 68 for 5 years. He enjoyed teaching the boys about citizenship, character, personal fitness, and leadership. Dennis also was his daughter’s soccer coach for the New Berlin Kickers. Dennis and his children did Taekwondo at WMAA. In November of 2018, shortly after Dennis was diagnosed with Cancer, he received his Black belt. He also enjoyed watching his daughter dance for Starz Dance Academy.
Dennis was part of the American Legion Post 488 of New Berlin and American Legion Riders District 1. He enjoyed taking part in community parades. Dennis enjoyed bowling, golfing and playing board games with family and friends. He regularly bowled in a military league in Oak Creek with the Bowlaholics.
Dennis began his career in the Air National Guard in 2000 as a Power Production Specialist for the 128 ARW Civil Engineering Squadron. These duties included Worldwide Maintenance and Operations of USAF Generators. In 2002, he accepted the additional duties of assisting Civil Engineering Prime Beef Manager with force equipment management. In 2004, Dennis became a Command Post Controller and in 2008 advanced to the Training Manager position. Dennis had extensive background in application of Nuclear Command, Control and Training for Airmen and Aircrew as well as securing our nation’s secrets via COMSEC, INFOSEC and OPSEC directives. He was a critical member of the Wing Inspection Team for the planning and execution of unit level exercises and as an Air Mobility Command, Inspector General Augmentee for Nuclear Inspections. Dennis was deployed in Istres in France in support of Operation Joint Forge and Eielson Air Force Base to participate in Cope Thunder. He also provided command and control for numerous home station operational missions during Operation Noble Eagle.
Dennis and his wife enjoyed riding their Harley, taking walks together, taking vacations as a family and entertaining family and friends. Dennis fought long and hard and never once gave up. Through his cancer battle he kept his Faith in God and his family by his side! He was a fighter until God took him home on August 2nd. He will be missed but never forgotten! Memorial Gathering at Resurrection Lutheran Church, 12400 West Cold Spring Road, New Berlin, Saturday, August 15, 2020 from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM. Memorial Service at 3:00 PM. Procession to the family house to follow. Per family request, please wear either Studer Strong shirts, Harley gear or casual attire.
In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to the Studer family to assist Anthony and Aria to pursue their talents and education.
