Randy was my first Boss in the Fluid Power Industry. 1980 was when I first met and worked for Randy at Pneucon/Amot Controls. He made an immediate and immense impression on me as a young man. Never forgot him or how he influenced me. Can’t even estimate how many times over the years I’ve told stories about the “best boss I ever had”. I remember unending cups of coffee he drank every day, incredible intelligence, patience of a saint and that upbeat personality of his. He was one of a kind. So very sorry to hear of his passing and the most heartfelt condolences to his family.

My condolences to Betty and the family. Randy was really an incredible man. He always had a smile for everyone he met. He always did business with a smile. The customers and the suppliers all appreciated his hard work and efforts at keeping customers happy. I am thankful for having had the chance to work with him.

My condolences to Betty and the family. We all lost a great friend who if you met him, you would never forget him. He was always so upbeat about everything, but maybe that was the the pot of coffee he had before we even showed up for work. I consider myself fortunate to have known your father and thank you for sharing him. May you find peace in knowing he was a very caring person and lived life to the fullest.

Please accept my condolences for your loss. I had the pleasure of working with Randy for over 20 years as Regional Sales Manger for Versa Products Co. Thinking about Randy I’m reminded of the saying “lead, follow or get out of the way.” He certainly led, with energy, enthusiasm and above all, leadership. He cleared the way for the rest of us to follow and garnered our respect in the process. The kind of person that would give you the shirt off his back, which he did for me, sort of. I was visiting the New Berlin office one very cold and snowy morning and then later that day driving to Eau Claire. As I was leaving Randy asked if I had a winter coat, I said something about a raincoat in my suitcase and with that he handed me a hooded, heavy winter coat. “Take this just in case.” I never knew if it was the one he wore to work that day or a spare he kept in the office. Randy was one of a kind and will be missed. Doug Harriman

Thoughts and prayers to Betty and family. It was truly an honor to work with Randy for over 32 years. He was a great guy and his upbeat personality made him a friend to all. And so many did not realize the service and sacrifice he gave for our country. I have made a donation to Wounded Warrior Project in his memory.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Our condolences to Betty and the family, Randy will be greatly missed. We met Randy and Betty when we moved next door to them in oconomowoc. We could not have asked for better neighbors, also turned out Jack and Randy did some work together at Harley Davidson. Lots of thoughts and prayers for the family.

Kathy and I send our condolences to Betty, Randy's children, grandchildren, and great grandchild as well as to all of his extended family, friends, and former colleagues at work. As his brother who happened to be 4 1/2 years older, I knew him well, of course, and since we were a farm family, we worked together. Randy was the hard worker others have described, and his excellent sense of humor and natural teaching abilities served him and others well. He made light of any adversity he experienced and faced any obstacles with a firm resolve. His life was a life well lived, and its impact will be remembered.

My condolence to the Thostenson family with the loss of Randy. Randy was so full of life, lots of fun, positive attitude, just a great person to be around and a wonderful role model to everyone. Always enjoyed the stories he told about his life's experiences and he had many. I thank him for his service to this country, again he was there when called on. It was truly an honor to be a part of Randy's life and we will miss him greatly. God bless you Randy and your family, Steve Irlbeck
