Randy S. Thostenson passed away November 21, 2020, at the age of 73.
Randy was a veteran of the Vietnam War where he was assigned to the United States Army’s 444th 27th Transportation 8th Group, earning several medals and commendations, including the Bronze Service Star, National Defense Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal and Marksman. Additionally, he was recognized with a Master driver’s certificate for over 20,000 miles of accident free driving. The patriotism and resolve he learned in the Army never left him, as family and friends will attest.
Upon honorable discharge from the United States Army, Randy married the love of his life Betty and together they welcomed two sons, Chad and Nathan. Randy and family settled in Waukesha, Wisconsin where he dedicated 40 plus years to his career in Fluid Power sales. His success can be directly attributed to his work ethic and his natural social ability. Beyond his successful career, only his unwavering devotion to family and friends took greater precedence. Randy retired in 2015 and enjoyed fishing and quality time with his family. Randy’s kind heart, charismatic energy, and limitless sense of humor will forever be missed.
Randy is survived by his wife, Betty; children, Chad (Jodi) and Nathan (Kit); grandchildren, Caleb (Chelsy), Kristi (Kyle), Coty, Kayleigh, Carter and Ian; great grandchild, Eveline; siblings, extended family, and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Norma Thostenson.
