I am very sad to learn of the passing of an old friend, but there are lots of good memories to hold on to. Losing a loved one during this pandemic adds to the normal heartbreak and tragedy. Emily Dickenson said, "Unable are the loved to die, for love is immortality."
Loleta (Lisa) Sherman left a message on January 19, 2021:
As some people journey through life, they leave footprints wherever they go. Footprints of love, kindness, inspiration, faith, courage compassion, humor, faith and joy. Even when they're gone, we can still look back and clearly see the trail they left behind. A trail that's bright with Hope and Love that invites you to follow. That was Dory...Sergeant, Friend and mentor that assisted me during my dispatch days at MCSO. I will always cherish the memories of Dory's compassion, fun and laughter while working as an Instructor at MCSO after she retired, and conducting the Community Emergency Response training (CERT) with me throughout the State of Wisconsin. We made numerous trips, but none would beat the best of times we had when going to Green Bay with Amy and visiting with Dory's mother & father...so many laughs! Dory will truly be missed, but I will always cherish those memories. With Love, Loleta (Lisa) Sherman

I went to dialysis with Dory, she was such a delight to see. Her cards were always such a joy! So much talent and love went into them! She is very missed every Monday, Wednesday and Friday! My condolences to her family especially Amy! Your mom was an amazing woman and I only got the chance to know her for a short time. Prayers for you and your family during this time.
