William (Bill) Cyrus O’Loughlin, age 86, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2025.
Bill was a cherished husband and father that always put his family first. He was loved by his wife, Jean of 64 years, and their three children Jeff (Laura), Julie (Steve), and Jessica (Keith). Along with seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren, Emily, (Tim; Will, Colin, Brooks, Miles and Josie), Ryan, Sarah (Dane; Olive), John, David, Joshua, and Cyrus. He will be missed by his sister-in-law, Jane, and nieces, Cathy, Laurie, Shari and Mary and their families. Preceded in death by parents, Cyrus and Esther O’Loughlin, his brother, Tom, and sister, Joan, and brother-in-law Harry.
Bill met Jean in high school in Merrill, WI. After graduating Bill moved to Milwaukee and later graduated from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Bill became a CPA and enjoyed his over 25 years with Medalist Industries. He looked forward to working in his gardens every year. He enjoyed his Harley Davidson motorcycles and went on many trips out west. His favorite rides were riding through the Black Hills of South Dakota, or giving a ride around the block to family and friends. Bill enjoyed his final years living with Jean at Harwood Place Senior Living.
Bill and Jean were members at their church, Wauwatosa Presbyterian Church, where they were married and raised their children. Bill enjoyed taking part in many church activities throughout his time as a member.
The family would like to say a special thank you to the loving and caring staff at Elaine’s Hope as well as St. Croix Hospice and Discovery Commons Brookfield.
A Celebration of Life service will be held 1:30 PM on October 1, 2025 in the chapel at Harwood Place Senior Living, 8220 Harwood Avenue, Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. Visitation with appetizers to follow from 2:15 PM -4:00 PM.
