Born into Eternal Life on Sunday, August 18, 2024, at age 87. Reunited in heaven with her loving husband LaVon Cornelius Poindexter, Sr. Beloved mother of LaVera (Michael) Adams, Jennifer (John) Mensah, and LaVon Poindexter, Jr. Preceded in death by her parents Robert and Paralee Anderson, sisters Carnelle Anderson, Paralee Anderson, Abbie Anderson, Willa Powell, Voila (Thomas) Brown, Pearlene (James) Harris, Earline Anderson, Brothers Felix Anderson, and Otis Anderson.

Born in Canton, Mississippi. Vera was employed by Briggs & Stratton for 32 years as a machine operator. Vera was a hard worker and always put family first.

Additional visitation on Saturday, August 31, 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM at All Saints Catholic Church, 4051 North 25^th Street, Milwaukee. Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. Entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery in Milwaukee to follow at 12:15 PM.
