I'm so sorry for your loss. Val and my dad were Dispatchers at MCTS and I enjoyed hearing about their hijinks. I'll miss seeing him at company gatherings and him giving me grief on Facebook.

I have always remembered the kind hearted guy who got me my first job. At John Marshall High School he convinced me to join him at the Boy Blue ice cream (soft serve) stand on the corner of Roosevelt and Fond du Lac. Rest in peace Val.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
Tim Lewis left a message on March 31, 2025:
I met Val when I moved to Wisconsin 11 years ago through a mutual friend, Bill W. I saw Val once or twice each week until his recent health issues prevented him from getting out much. Val was always calm and steady, which was a good influence on me. I will miss him.
