Timothy Patrick McCardle, Sr. – Age 72, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2024, with his daughters, Stacie and Amy; son, TJ; and significant other, Sherry by his side.

Tim was born on February 6, 1952, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Michael and Arlene (nee Laatsch) McCardle.

Tim attended Custer High School in Milwaukee. Shortly after high school Tim had his first two children, Nick and Jeremy, with the late Melanie Block.

Tim later met and fell in love with Sherry Sassi and her four children. They had two children together, Timothy Jr. and Stacie. Tim and Sherry enjoyed the past 38 years together.

In the 1970s, Tim dominated the Slinger Speedway racetrack, taking the checkered flag many times. He loved working on cars, but soon, his love of cars turned to the love of Harley Davidson motorcycles. Tim loved to ride his Harley.

Tim worked as an over-the-road semi driver for Badger freight for many years. He also worked for Al’s auto sales intermittently for many years until his retirement in 2016. Tim’s proudest work accomplishment was becoming an owner-operator of his own 18-wheeler big rig. He especially loved it when his brother Terry or son Jeremy would make trips with him. Tim also enjoyed having his own tow truck.

Tim often shared memories of his summer trips to Colorado with his siblings and his buddies, driving his water ski boat, driving his rig, and riding his Harley. Add some Miller Lite, family, and friends, and he couldn’t be happier. Tim was outgoing and could enjoy a conversation with just about anyone.

Tim also enjoyed watching his grandchildren grow, especially his little princesses, Kinsley and Harlow, who brought him so much joy and big smiles over the past 3 years, especially during his recent health struggles.

He leaves behind his love of 38 years, Sharon Sassi; his children, Nicholas McCardle (Amanda Martinez), Timothy McCardle Jr., Stacie McCardle (Ben Lepien), Amy Bell (JB Bell), Michael Sponholz (Heather), David Sponholz (Amanda), and Christopher Sponholz; his grandchildren, Kinsley Lepien, Harlow Lepien, Nick McCardle Jr., Alani McCardle, Melina McCardle, Marcello McCardle, Makayla Johnson, Jayden Sponholz, Mason Sponholz, Sapphire Sponholz, Dominic Sponholz , Bree Sponholz, Elijah Sponholz, and Maddie Sponholz; his mother, Arlene; and his siblings, MaryBeth, Kim, Kristy (Tamara) McCardle, and sister in-law Laurie McCardle.

He is proceeded in death by his dad, Michael; his siblings, Terry and Debbie; and his son, Jeremy.

Visitation at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin on Saturday, November 23, 2024, from 9:00 AM – 11:45 AM. Funeral Service at 12:00 PM. Burial at Summit Cemetery, 36000 Delafield Road, Summit WI.
