John, Steve and Cindy - I am so sorry for your loss. I was shocked to see Tom's obituary in the paper just today. I have very fond memories of Tom from when I worked at Richter-Schroeder Company from around 1978-1990, at the Bockl Building. You three, and your families are in my thoughts.

Tom and I had a long friendship going back to our mutual relationship with John (Mike) Reynolds. After college, John and I shared an apartment with Joe Arneth on the East Side of Milwaukee and Tom shared a unit in the same building with Mark Trampe. One of my most enduring memories was a summer trip we took (Tom, John, Joe, and myself) to the western mountains when we were around 22 or 23 years old. We called it the “Rocky Mountain High Tour.” We rented a mobile home and headed first to the Rocky Mountains then proceeded to the Teton Mountains in Wyoming. We visited many places along the way and slept in the mobile home. We rarely ate out except during a rare stop at the famous Mangy Moose Saloon in Jackson Hole after a long day on the trail. A great spot at the base of the Rendezvous Mountains. It was a great trip and solidified a relationship with Tom that lasted throughout the years. After college, my wife and I (Mary Ann) moved to the Boston area and then to Florida in the early 2000’s. Despite the move, Tom communicated regularly, and we always met with him during our return visits to the Milwaukee area. The last time was at the services following the passing of John. And now, with Tom’s passing, I am the only surviving “comrade” from the Rocky Mountain High tour. All that is left are the great memories of the time spent with Tom and the friendship we maintained throughout the years. May he rest in peace and enjoy the hiking, fishing, rafting, and skiing in the afterlife to follow. And … you can be sure that I will be toasting him with a glass of Tanqueray and a splash of tonic! Rest in peace Tom.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

It was my privilege--and blessing-- to work with Tom for over 25 years. As a property manager he was simply the "best in class" and I was so fortunate to have him on my team through some difficult projects. The squatter in Apartment A, the frozen water tower, and The Electric Avenue and More were war stories that Tom and I never tired of talking about again and again. I am so very sorry I will be out of town on June 2. My sincere condolences to Tom's family. God bless you Tom, and thank you so much for helping a young and inexperienced attorney on so many occasions.
