Thomas Carl Albrecht passed away peacefully in Greenfield, Wisconsin and returned home on February 16, 2025. He was born August 27, 1945, in Milwaukee to loving parents Nobert and Bernice (nee Kothrade) Albrecht. He is preceded in death by his wife of 55 years Georgian Albrecht (nee Schmidt), his parents, grandparents, sister and brother-in-law Judy(Albrecht) and Robert Nelson, and granddaughter Rebecca Lynn Albrecht.
Thomas grew up in Milwaukee and New Berlin and attended Boys Tech High School. He was a member of Holy Apostles Parish in New Berlin for most of his younger years. He started work as a Q&A inspector at Wisconsin Motors, followed by 30 years in the Greendale School District as a maintenance and HVAC Technician.
Tom was an avid fly fisherman. He enjoyed hunting; upland bird and turkey hunting in particular. He was a member of Wisconsin Bow Hunters Association and a longtime board member of the Southeast Wisconsin Chapter of Trout Unlimited. Tom volunteered his time and efforts to fishing area rehabilitation projects on Allenton Creek and Paradise Springs Creek. He spent many days hunting at Warren Valley Sportsman’s with his dogs. Tom enjoyed time in his garden, going to farmer’s markets and working with the several black labs he had over the years. He loved the outdoors, wildlife, wildlife art, cooking, and gardening.
Tom is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Amanda and Peter Rotaru, his son and daughter-in-law Bill and Lynn Albrecht, grandsons Jason Albrecht and Ben Albrecht, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Visitation from 11:00 AM – 12:45 PM, with service at 1:00 PM, on Friday, March 7, 2025 at Krause Funeral Home, 12401 West National Avenue, New Berlin, Wisconsin. Interment at Highland Memorial Park in New Berlin, Wisconsin.
