In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association Wisconsin Chapter https://www.alz.org/wi. We thank you for showing kindness to someone who needs it, just as Sue did every day of her life.
Susan Carol Klosowski (1949 – 2026).
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Susan Klosowski, who found God’s loving arms on July 18th, 2026, at the age of 76.
Sue was born on August 6th, 1949, to Caroline (Reingans) Berdoll and Norbert Berdoll in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She attended St. Rita’s School and Pius XI Catholic High School during which she was involved in Girl Scouts and worked at Bomberg’s Bakery. She and her family enjoyed countless Friday fish frys and Sundays with ham and rolls. They had memorable adventures traveling with their pop-up camper to the coasts every year.
Sue raised her two sons in the Milwaukee area while she put herself through nursing school. She graduated from MATC with her degree in Nursing. Sue found this to be a deeply fulfilling career, touching many lives in oncology, hospice, and home health. Sue was also a creative and passionate cook who showed her love through delicious meals.
When Sue later became a grandmother, she was devoted to making priceless memories and traditions that brought her family together. She kept those memories through scrapbooking. Her grandchildren will never forget how she always went above and beyond to make them feel special.
Sue was preceded in death by her father Norbert and mother Caroline, niece Kristin Szaniawski, and her beloved dog Abby.
Sue is survived by her loyal husband Jeff, sister Holly (Jeff) Szaniawski, beloved sons Michael (Amy) Stugard and Shawn (Jaimmie) Stugard, stepdaughters Melanie (Jim) Langer and Sheila (Kory) Postotnik, cherished grandchildren: Mariah (Austin) Palrang, Lauren (Kyle) Storandt, Lindsey (Ryan), Elliot, and Mira, precious great-grandchildren: Ezra, Bethel, Sutton, Shepherd, Isla, and Hadassah, loving nephews Ryan (Meghan) Szaniawski and Matthew (Sydney) Szaniawski, and “daughter-in-love” Sherry Stugard.
Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that Sue’s love, generosity, and gentle spirit will continue to live on in everyone fortunate enough to have known her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 27, 2026, at St. Alphonsus Church, 6000 West Loomis Road. Greendale, Wisconsin 53129 from 9:30 AM – 10:45 AM. Funeral Service and Mass will follow at 11:00 AM.
