Ron passed peacefully May 2, 2025, sometime in the early morning hours at age 76. Preceded in death by brother-in-law, Carl Chapman; and nephew, Jason McAtee. Survived by sister-in-law, Kathy Chapman; and nephew, Connor (Bethany) Chapman. Brother Al (Lynda) Rupich. Nephew, Jeffrey (Caroline) Rupich and their children Nicholas and Nathan. Niece Kellie (Chris) Ortloff and their children Andie and Erik.
Ron attended Cudahy High School and private computer school after which he enlisted in the Marine Corps on November 3, 1968. Ron proudly served as a Marine from November 3, 1968, through August 24, 1970, completing a 13-month tour in Vietnam.
After the Marine Corps, Ron went to work at Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation, working his way up from 3rd shift computer operator to Project Manager of IT Applications.
Ron was passionate about baseball. Even though Ron was first and foremost a Cubs fan, he was also a fan of the Brewers, as long as they were not playing the Cubs.
Ron loved his dog’s past and present: Rocky, Rootbeer, Charmin, Elsa and Cisco. The neighborhood dogs also played a big part in Ron’s life: Buster, Rocco, Cody, Dusty, Buddy, Bailey, Cooper, Remy and Ivy. Ron will be remembered for always having dog treats in his pockets.
Ron always expressed how blessed he was to have neighbors like Pamela and Dave Escamilla, Cherie and Glen Bringe, and Melinda and Chris Moe, along with special friends, Donna and Jerry Rondorf.
A special thanks to Pamela and Dave Escamilla who were instrumental in completing Ron’s final wishes.
Ron will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and great sense of humor.
Ron, you will be missed but always remembered by many.
