Passed away on June 3, 2026, at age 81. After suffering a stroke in February 2025, he recovered valiantly and spent his sunset days next to Jude, his dear faithful wife of 53 years. Cherished father of Tom and Jon Neuman, and doting grandfather of George and Eddie Neuman. His memory will be fondly revered by friends and family.
A true “Renaissance Man,” Bob was a prolific painter, author of three self-help books, professor of English Literature, pianist, opera patron, globe-trotter, and tennis enthusiast. He was raised in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, and his love of learning sparked at Kalamazoo College and continued at Marquette University as he earned his Masters and Doctorate degrees. At Marquette, he met Jude who shared his affinity of traveling, art, and music. His altruistic spirit to pass wisdom to the next generation fueled his passion in advising thousands of high school and college students to achieve academic and personal success. He will always be remembered for his kind heart, his inexhaustible patience, his genteel manner, and his playful wit.
Visitation at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin on Friday, July 10, 2026, 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM, with service at 1:00 PM. Burial at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield, Wisconsin.
