Dear Sue, I read Megan’s post on Facebook and then read this obituary. What a wonderful mother and grandmother she was!! She clearly had an influence on you and reminds me of you – from her kind and charitable spirit, faith, love of family, love of theater, her perfectionism, and being an expert seamstress including sewing stage costumes!!! (I can still picture you sewing in the MUHS theater during play practice that you were also directing at the same time!) I was in awe of how you could do all that, but you must have learned and inherited multitasking from your mother! I’m so sorry I missed the visitation. I read the obituary too late in the day to make it yesterday. I’m sending my sympathy to you and Jim, Andy, David, Megan, Ben and your whole family. Mary Shutters

Sharon, Susie & Linda., My deepest condolences to you and your families. I have so many wonder memories of your mom. I smile inside when I think about the many afternoons, she spent paying Canasta & Mille Bournes with Sharon and me at your kitchen table. She was also one of the reasons I chose St. Mary's Academy for H.S. despite being a "public kid at a private school". She gave the gift of many happy, childhood memories to all of us who knew her. Her legacy of kindness will live on. I'm sorry for your loss. Jenny Klar Bodner

So many fond memories of Rita from early Lourdes day when my 3 children were young & we worked with her on projects. Her smile and kindness could light up a room. The world was a better place because of her! May all your memories help your hearts heal!
