Ravindra Keshavrao Talwalker

Passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2023. Ravindra was born on April 10, 1935 in Bhavnagar, India. He was a loving and devoted grandfather, father, and husband whose work ethic and generous support opened new doors of opportunity for his children to live more fully and freely in the direction of their dreams. A lifelong knowledge seeker, Ravindra enjoyed reading the news, current affairs, religious and spiritual texts, and world history. His brilliant mind could remember as clearly an incident from the age of three as he could a meaningful moment from the previous week.

Ravindra was also a talented, creative engineer and career long public servant. For several years he led the civil engineering department for the City of Milwaukee, focusing on his interest in building environmentally sustainable solutions for the city’s waste water management. Strong and steadfast, particularly in the last year of his life, he overcame heartbreaking loss and health challenges to inspire us all to seek joy, to surrender regret, and to find peace. He was preceded in death by his wife Manisha and daughter Aparna. His love for his family lives on through his surviving daughter Ajita, son-in-law Sandeep, granddaughter Leela, and siblings Purnachandra, Suresh, Jayashree, Meenakshi, Mohini and their families.
