Patricia Ann Gibson

Patricia Ann (Krause) Gibson of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. Entered eternal life on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at the age of 92. She was born on January 29, 1932, to the late Edward and Margaret Krause of West Allis, WI. After graduating from West Allis Central High School, she went to work at the Chain Belt Company where among other duties she distributed paychecks to her future Husband, Edward G. Gibson. Pat and Ed were married on August 2, 1952, at Apostle Presbyterian Church in West Allis, WI. They lived most of their 72 years of marriage in Wauwatosa, WI where they raised three children LouAnn, Scott, and Todd.

Pat was a loving wife and mother as well as a creative, caring person. She enjoyed cooking delicious meals, traveled to many parts of the world with Ed, and involved in all the kids’ activities and their families to follow. She loved many activities including biking, skiing, tennis, rug hooking, and playing bridge, all of which often involved being with friends she cared for. She worked for many years in the offices of First Congregational Church and Mount Mary College serving the needs of others.

She and Ed enjoyed exploring life together spending time in the Wisconsin Northwoods, bicycling tours around the globe, skiing vacations in Colorado, and supporting the arts in Milwaukee.
Pat was preceded in death by her brother Edward Krause Jr. and her great-granddaughter Chloe Pratt. She is survived by her husband Edward Gibson, and her three children LouAnn (Joseph) Pratt, Scott Gibson, and Todd (Marjorie) Gibson, her grandchildren Ben, Sara (Michael) Purvis, Lisa, Maggie, Stephen, her great-grandchildren Logan, Maddie, Theo and Grant.

Pat’s kind spirit, love, and encouragement will be missed by many.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 29, 2024 at First Congregational Church, 1511 Church Street in Wauwatosa.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations appreciated to the First Congregational Church of Wauwatosa or the Alzheimer’s Association.
