Nicholas Joseph Weber

It is with unbearable sadness that our family shares the unexpected passing of our sweet son and brother, Nick. He passed away peacefully in his sleep, at his home, from complications of an enlarged heart. Anyone who knows Nick will agree that he has always had a generous and loving big heart.

Nicholas Joseph was born on March 28, 1983, in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. He attended school in Milton, Wisconsin. Nick was an incredible trombone player, participating in Concert Band, Jazz Band, and Show Choir Band. He also loved being a member of the high school tennis team.

Nick graduated from UW-Milwaukee with a major in Archeology, specializing in Geographic Information Systems, and a minor in Forensics. He held an integral position in the University of Milwaukee Archeology Department.

With Nick’s love for Milwaukee, he made his home in Riverwest. Nick surrounded himself with an incredible group of close friends; friends that would become family members, not just to Nick, but to all of us.

Nick had a great passion for the Packers, Badgers, Brewers, and Bucks — all things Wisconsin sports. Nick also had an incredible love for Lake Michigan, the Denis Sullivan and tall ships.

Checking out small craft breweries was a hobby Nick came to enjoy long before it became mainstream. Black Husky Brewery in Riverwest, along with its owners Toni and Tim Eichinger, became a very important part of his life. Nick was happy to help the business in many ways: From assisting the bartenders, to guiding merchandise orders, to crafting social media posts, his involvement brought joy to staff and patrons alike.

Nick loved his small Weber clan, his large extended family, and his chosen family of friends with all his heart. He had an incredible talent for selecting the perfect gifts for all, especially his niece Olive, nephew Henry, and goddaughters Merit and Junie.

Survivors include his loving parents William and Mary (Glaser) Weber, twin sisters Molly (Robert) Canan and Kate (Adam) Carlson, niece Olive Carlson, and nephew Henry Carlson. He is also survived by maternal grandparents Gerald and Barbara Glaser, many aunts, uncles, and cousins on both sides of his family.

Nick was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Mary and John Weber, Godmother Susan (Glaser) Gray, Uncles Mark Glaser, David Weber, and John Weber.

We wish to acknowledge Andy and Michelle Moring for their devoted friendship and love for Nick over the many years; also for their daily help, love, and support for all of us through the trauma of these past few weeks.

Nick’s awesome bear hugs and beautiful blue eyes will be forever missed by so many people.

Nicholas Joseph, you have been the best son any parent could hope for. Thank you for being a fun fishing buddy and football analyzer with Dad. Thank you for all the beautiful bouquets of flowers on Mother’s Day and the help and love for Mom. We know how blessed we are to have you as our sweet baby boy.

A celebration of Nick’s life will be held at Black Husky Brewery, 909 East Locust Street, Milwaukee, Wisconsin from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM on Sunday, March 2, 2025.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to Milwaukee Public Museum.
