It is with unbearable sadness that our family shares the unexpected passing of our sweet son and brother, Nick. He passed away peacefully in his sleep, at his home, from complications of an enlarged heart. Anyone who knows Nick will agree that he has always had a generous and loving big heart. My heart goes out to the Weber family. I met Nick at UWM we both studied Archeology. Andy and Nick were my best companions during school. They helped me move..more than once and I remember Nick always caring for me when I went to the bars with him. He never let me walk home alone and when my boyfriend would take his telescope out, Nick would come to hang out in the cold with a 12 pack of beer he would put in the snow. He always made me laugh and I always felt safe when he was around. Even though I moved away I always thought about Nick and the dedicated friendship he gave me while I was at School. I am honored to have known such a genuine wholesome person.

So many wonderful memories with the Weber family. Nick was always a light to all, a kind and beautiful person. His face would light up the room and seeing him just made you feel better. All our love to you as you navigate through this most difficult time.

I am devasted by the loss of my colleague and friend. I worked with Nick for over 18 years. He was instrumental in the success of GLARC as well as the program at UWM. I miss him deeply. It's hard for me to imagine a world where he is not present - I miss his warmth, sincerity, and wit. I miss our morning chats by the coffee over all things gis. He is my unsung hero. My deepest sympathy to his family - who he cherished. God speed Nick, I miss you.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

I met Nick when I came into Black husky and he was sitting in the same spot I like to sit in. He was so nice I started to look forward to seeing him on Saturday afternoons and he introduced to other really awesome people. I'm so sorry for the family's loss.

Nick was pretty awesome. I was not a close friend but I was friends with him through other friends. Anytime he was around, he brought a positive energy, good conversation and interesting stories. While we didn't plan to spend any time together, I knew good times were ahead when he was there. I'm sad that such a bright light will no longer be shining in our lives. He really was awesome!
