Found his peace on Sunday, October 30, 2016.  Age 68.  Loving husband of Kathy (nee Jambor) Eriksson.  Proud father of Kelly (Zane) York and Dr. Brian (Dr. Amy) Eriksson.  Grandfather “BopPa” of Axel and Quinn.  Dear brother of Dr. Larry (Dr. Karen) Eriksson and Sally (Dave) Chappell.  Preceded in death by his parents Henry and Frances Eriksson.  He will also be missed by many cherished friends and relatives.

Visitation at Krause Family Home, 12401 West National Avenue, New Berlin, Saturday, November 5, 2016 from 2:30 PM to 4:45 PM.  Funeral Service at 5:00 PM.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society appreciated.  Thank you to Froedtert Hospital and Select Specialty Hospital of West Allis for their care of Neal.  Special thanks to Dr. Ehab Atallah for the last five years.

Neal was a mechanical engineer with Morris Material Handling and previously at Harnischfeger. He was an expert in sports car restoration and repairing mechanical watches.  Neal and Kathy enjoyed attending auctions and flea markets.  He enjoyed fishing on Lake Windigo in Hayward, Wisconsin, and was happiest working in the garage on his cars.

In all honesty, I did not know Neal personally vey well. My cousin Kathy was dating him when I had moved to Canada some 45 years ago. They married in 1973, but I was thousands of miles away and living my life, so I never really got to know Neal…except for one thing. I knew he was making my cousin very happy. And then, they started having children… first one and then another. From a distance I watched how their family grew. They always seemed so happy and grounded. I can only say for certain that his family was his true legacy. He was a loving partner and an amazing father, and he will be surely missed by all those who knew him…even in the smallest way.
