In Loving Memory of Mr. Andrea Bernard Lewis
Andrea B. Lewis was born on October 21, 1952 to Minnie Bell and Fred Lewis in Camden, Arkansas. Andrea was the youngest of seven children. He graduated from Fairview High School and soon departed the city to find a better life. Andrea was highly favored by God while on his life’s journey. He met the love of his life at Sears Department Store in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. After just three days, they knew they were destined to be together. Renee Yvette and Andrea married on November 13, 1976, at Calvary Baptist Church in Milwaukee and recently celebrated 47 loving years together. Andrea’s proudest contribution to this world was his son, Andre B. Lewis II. Andrea sacrificed it all to provide for his loving family. He was employed at Waukesha Electric Systems for 32 years as a Cleat and Lead Specialist building electrical transformers to provide power to cities.
Andrea’s hobbies included fancy jazzy cars, being a lawn perfectionist and barbecuing. He also loved playing with his granddaughter Chloe.
Andrea went from labor to rest on Saturday, November 18, 2023 after a beautiful visit with his daughter-in-law, Toni Dahms-Lewis and only grandchild Chloe Brianne. They sang songs and colored pictures. When the visit ended, Toni promised grandpa that she would take care of grandma, Andre II, and Chloe and that she would give them lots of hugs, kisses and fist bumps. Three minutes after they departed, grandpa took his last breath. He needed to be assured everyone would be okay. Let us celebrate and rejoice. Well done thy good and faithful soldier.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Renee Lewis, son Andre Lewis II (Toni Dahms-Lewis), granddaughter Chloe, Niece Stephanie Morris, Brothers Agee and Henry Smith, Aunt Versie Parker, Brother-in-law Michael (Pat) Wright and John (Denise) Wright, Sister-in-law Debra (Ray) Rosby, Best childhood friend Allen Davis, Beverly Evans, Paula Bost, Beverly Sanders Waddell and their families, Kathleen and Mark Dahms as well as a host of relatives and friends.
Visitation will be at Krause Funeral Home, 9000 West Capitol Drive, Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Tuesday, November 28th from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM with service to follow at 12:00 PM. Andrea will be laid to rest at Wisconsin Memorial Park.
