Age 72 of Oak Creek passed away unexpectedly with her family by her side, June 17, 2023. Beloved wife of Gary for 53 years. Loving sister of Joanne (Dan) Sheets. Also loved by nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Mary earned her Doctorate from UW-Milwaukee, Magna Cum Laude, and became a psychologist. She developed Visiting Physicians Association for southeastern Wisconsin and was previously an instructor at Milwaukee Area Technical College. She was an accomplished tennis player, co-editor of Wisconsin Tennis, an avid downhill skier, and a cat show exhibitor. She loved biking, camping, and traveling. Mary was a fund raiser for Mission Aviation Fellowship. She briefly sang in the Billy Graham Choir when it came to Milwaukee, and served as a counselor at that Crusade. She was a member of Elmbrook Church and taught Sunday School there.  Recently she would say she was “rooted and released” at Elmbrook Church. She was in the process of writing a manuscript called “Sons of the Bride’s Chamber,” the thesis of which was “the most important question of life is where you will spend Eternity.”
Visitation at Elmbrook Church, 777 South Barker Road, Brookfield, on Thursday, June 29, 2023, at 11:00 AM until time of Service at 12:00 Noon. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to the family.
