Marlene Dames

Marlene Gertrude Dames (nee Riedel) passed away on September 25, 2023, at Legacy Assisted Living in Pewaukee. Marlene was born in Milwaukee on June 25, 1935, to Norman and Marie (nee Seifert) Riedel. She was a graduate of Washington High School. She was the loving mother to sons, Clayton, who passed away in 1997, and Brett, who passed away in May 2023. Brett was so supportive of his mother, leaving Houston to be with her the last 5 years. He was always there for her especially the last three years when she entered assisted living. Marlene was an avid sports fan, especially the Packers. She was also a fan of NASCAR and went to many races in her lifetime with her sister Carole Warminton. She was an Administrative Assistant for many years for the Griffin Agency. Preceded in death by her sons, her sister Carole and her parents. Lovingly survived by her cousins Susan Gavinski (nee Riedel) of Menomonee Falls, WI and William Riedel of Delray Beach, FL.

At Marlene’s request, there will be no service. Special appreciation to Brighton Hospice for their attentive care, especially Amanda, Mary Kate, and Tomasa.
