Marita Lynn Ermisch, age 84, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2026. Born with a warm spirit and a generous heart, Marita built a life filled with love, devotion, and quiet strength. John Ermisch left a message on June 14, 2026:
It is very sad to hear of Marita’s passing. We can only be consoled by our happy memories from her life. I remember how friendly and enthusiastic she was when I first met her. Like any teenager, I’m sure I was sometimes difficult and enmeshed in my own world, but she was always interested and kind. Over the years we had many long conversations, often deep into the night, about a wide range of topics, and she was always patient to listen to my views, even when they were often naïve. When I moved away from Milwaukee, our contact was less, but she was always interested to hear about my life when I returned to visit. Later, when I married, my wife Dianne was generously welcomed into her world, and they got on famously. Marita was one of the constants in my life, and it is hard to believe she is now gone. I sincerely miss the kindness and openness that was an essential part of her.

Love Still Abides She has passed on beyond the range of site Into the glory of the morning light Out of the reach of sorrow and despair Safe in the shelter of our Fathers care Weep not for her, say not she is dead She has gone on only a few short steps ahead Faith looks beyond this time of grief and pain Love still abides and we shall meet again
