Marilyn Drechsler (nee Mace) passed away peacefully on Friday, October 13, 2023 at the age of 80.

Loving wife of John “Jochen” for 57 years. Devoted mother of Mark and Ann (Brent) Siegmund. Proud grandma of Emma and Lexi. Sister of Judy (Vince) Wood, Stuart (Kate) Mace, John (Mary) Mace, and Richard (Gael) Mace. Also loved by other relatives and friends.

Marilyn was born in Fort Dodge, Iowa and graduated from the University of Iowa. She moved to Milwaukee to begin her teaching career, where she met her husband, John and raised her two children. She spent many years teaching first grade at St. Margaret-Mary’s School until her retirement. Marilyn was passionate about volunteering as well. She was a Cub Scout den mother, worked at the library and ran the Forensics program at St. Agnes Catholic Church, where she was a longtime member.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 5:15 PM on Friday, October 20, 2023 at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin. Funeral service to follow at 5:30 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated to St. Agnes Catholic Church, 12801 West Fairmount Avenue, Butler, WI 53007.
