Louis C. Jones (LC) was born on January 21, 1932, to Charlie and Elvira Jones in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
In his free time, Louis could often be found fishing with family or friends.
He also enjoyed teaching some of the neighborhood kids to fish. In his earlier years, he volunteered as a Boy Scout leader. Louis enjoyed listening to the blues, attending Milwaukee Bucks basketball games, and watching college basketball on television. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, going on picnics, playing softball, going to amusement parks, and traveling to visit relatives out of state.
Louis had many jobs and businesses over the years including owning a pool hall and being a landlord to several rental properties. Starting as a welder, he worked his way up to being a mechanic by the time he retired from A.O. Smith after 33 years of service.
Louis C. Jones departed life on January 1, 2025, at the blessed age of 92. He was preceded in death by his: wife of 62 years, Rosetta; son, Roger Jones; daughter, Jeannette (Jean) Jones; 3 great-grandchildren, Anthony McMillon Jr., Reshaun McGill, and Dyshaun McGill; 3 sisters, Helen Cummings of Flint, MI, Talice Harris, and Doris Jones of Chicago, IL; and 3 brothers, Charlie Jones, Bob Jones of Flint, MI, and Hayward Jones of Chicago, IL.
He is survived by: 3 daughters, Debra Thomas (Ken) of Glendale, W, Peggy Medley (Tim) of Fox Point, Wi, and Annette Jones of Milwaukee, WI; 5 grandsons, Anthony (Chris) McMillan (Latoya) of Arlington, TX, Tawaun McGill, Allen Jones, Nicholas Jones (Raven), and Deshaun McGill, all of Milwaukee, WI; 12 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers, Cleveland Jones (Ann), Maurice Jones (Lynn), and Louis Jones (Dorothy), all of Chicago, IL, and Jameel Akbar Hameed of Flint, MI; sisters-in-law, Barbara Jones of Flint, MI and Louise Jones of Chicago, IL; Louis will be remembered in the hearts of many people who loved him especially his son-in-laws, Ken Thomas and Tim Medley; family friend, Clara Gaud; longtime friend, Ron Henry; his Gospel Lutheran Church family and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held at Krause Funeral Home, 7001 West Brown Deer Road, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on Friday, January 17 2025, from 10:00 AM – 11:45 AM, with Service at 12:00 PM. Interment to follow at Graceland Cemetery.
