Loretta C. Mau

Loretta C. Mau (nee Dishinger) went home to her Lord and Savior at the age of 97 on Monday, August 17, 2026. Loving wife of the late, Robert “Bob” A. Mau. Preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Anna Dishinger, sons Steven and Brian Mau, daughter, Marjorie (Marge) McDaniel and grandson Jacob (Jake) Mau and five siblings. Loving mother of daughter, Darla (Terry) Veenendaal and son, Jeffrey Mau. She is further survived by daughter-in-law Dawn (the late Brian) Mau, grandchildren, Sean (Colleen) Veenendaal, Mark (Melissa) Veenendaal, Robert “Joe”(Jen) McDaniel, Anthony “Tony” (Fernanda) Mau, Jordan Mau, Amelia (Nick Jordan) Mau, great-grandchildren, Sean, Peter, Megan, Hannah, Riley Veenendaal, Leon and Sofia Mau and sister-in-law Nancy (the late Richard) Dischinger.

Loretta worked for Roddis Lumber and Veneer Company during WWII. She and her late husband, Bob, were the former owners of The Shooters Shop where she was the office manager, and a former member of Ducks Unlimited and the Ruffed Grouse Society.

Loretta enjoyed gardening, canning, crocheting, jig saw puzzles, and reading. Central to her life was her faith and her family. She will be deeply missed.

Visitation will be held at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capital Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin on Sunday, September 13, 2026 from 2:00-3:30 PM. Funeral Service to follow at 3:30 PM.
