Kenneth C. Genac “Ken”

Died: May 8, 2025
After a courageous battle with cancer, Ken found peace on May 8, 2025, at the age of 68. Beloved father of Lindsey, Kelly (Andy), and Kenneth John. Dear grandfather of, Brayden, Nathan, Drew, Cade, Mason, and Annin; Brother of, Gary (Mary), Jeff (Sue), and David.Further survived by his nieces and nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Marion Genac, and his brother Alan.
Ken proudly served as a ship fitter for the U.S. Navy, where he learned sheet metal fabrication and welding. He built a respected career in the aerospace industry, starting as a Sheet Metal Fabricator at Stolper Industries. He soon found his niche in thermal spray technology where he developed crucial coating processes and led a successful joint venture in thermal spray between Stolper Industries and Stork Cellramic. He continued his impactful career for over a decade at Ace Precision as a Thermal Spray Engineer.
Ken was a true jack of all trades, possessing many skills, interests, creative pursuits, and talents. Outside of his professional life, he was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed a variety of activities including hiking, camping, hunting, ice fishing, and ATV riding, with his greatest passion being fishing. Among his most cherished memories were the vacations spent with his family, in Star Lake, Wisconsin, as well as the treasured hunting and fishing trips with his brothers.
He had a love for both gardening and cooking, always cultivating a large vegetable garden and enjoying the opportunity to incorporate his fresh produce into the many cuisines he explored, especially his beloved Cajun dishes. He found much joy in his yard which was home to his cherry tree,various perennials, fragrant lilac bushes, and the many “critters” that would frequent his feeders. He cherished the companionship of his pets throughout his life.
Beyond his skills, Ken was known for his generous, kind, and helpful nature, always there for anyone in need and always willing to lend a hand or a tool, and most times both.
Ken will be immensely missed by his family and friends. Just as he cherished and kept alive the stories, recipes, and traditions of his loved ones before him, may his memory also be cherished and live on in those who knew and loved him.
Visitation from 1:00 PM – 3:45 PM, with service at 4:00 PM, on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at Krause Funeral Home, 9000 West Capitol Drive, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Interment at Valhalla Memorial Park in Milwaukee at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 19, 2025.
