With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Kathleen Neitzke (née Kontowicz) on February 3, 2025, at the age of 77.
Kathleen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of all who knew her. Born on October 31, 1947, to Gilbert and Victoria Kontowicz in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Kathleen was the oldest sibling to Nancy Wekwert and John Kontowicz. She grew up with a deep love for family and carried that devotion throughout her life.
Kathleen was the beloved wife of James Neitzke, with whom she built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. She was a devoted mother to Thomas Neitzke (Suzi Neitzke), Marcus Neitzke (Kelly Neitzke), and Julie Keidl (Chris Keidl). She took great pride in her role as a grandmother to Stephanie Neitzke, Loren Neitzke, Macy Neitzke, Emma Keidl, Gwyn Keidl, and (step)Alexis Keidl, and as a step great-grandmother to Mia and Chloe Morris. Her family was the center of her world, and she found immense joy in their lives and accomplishments.
Kathleen’s kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for her family will be dearly missed but forever remembered. She created a legacy of love and devotion that will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
Though she is no longer with us, Kathleen’s love, wisdom, and beautiful spirit will live on through her family and the many lives she touched.
The Neitzke Family would like to send a special thank you to all the Memory Care nurses (Lynn S.& Kathy S.), staff and administration at Linden Grove in New Berlin, Wisconsin, for the compassionate and dedicated care they provided to Kathleen. Your kindness and support meant the world to us.
A celebration of Kathleen’s life will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025 at Holy Apostles Church, 16000 West National Avenue, New Berlin, Wisconsin with a visitation beginning at 9:30 AM and service at 11:30 AM.
