Vilums, Karen Elizabeth, born into Eternal Life on Wednesday February 19, 2025, at the age of 64 years old.

Cherished Mother of Amber M. Vilums,  “Omar J. Salaam”. Proceeded in death by her Son Jason Matthew Vilums. Proceeded in death by her Mother and Father Dolores H. Schmid and John P. Schmid. Special Sister to Kathy (Joe) Voight, Sue(Tom) Schmidt, Mary(Bill) Trosper, Carol(Joe) Schoendorf, and Brother John Schmid. Grandmother of Aaliyah T. Vilums-Salaam, Alexis T. Vilums-Salaam, Daishaun M. Vilums- Salaam, and Rylie R. Vilums. Great Grandmother of La’Ryiah A. Riles, La’Renzo A. Riles, and Leonidas P. Vilums- Salaam Mendez. Also loved by 2 Aunts, Many Nephews, Nieces, Cousins, and Many Friends. Proceeded in Death by Karl H. Vilums.

Born in Milwaukee, WI and Raised in Wauwatosa, WI. Karen attended Wauwatosa West High School and graduated in 1978. She loved to spend her time Gardening. She loved Music and doing Art Projects. She enjoyed playing Cards with Family and Friends. She was very helpful and Caring to others around her. She was also so Fun, Loving, Caring, Giving, and concerned for her Family and others Around her.  She had an Energetic Force, and Always smiling through out her life. She was so full of Compassion and Love. She has brought so much Love and Happiness to others lives. To Know Karen, Was to love her. She was so Spiritual, She loved to read, Especially her Bible, not one but two she cherished.

One of the last things She said for me is “ Keep Smiling , Stay Cool, and that she Loved me.”

You will be Loved, Remembered, and Missed By All Mom !!!!

Visitation will be held at Krause Funeral Home, 9000 West Capitol Drive, in Milwaukee, on Tuesday, March 4th,  from 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM.
