June McLean

(Nee Schlatter) Entered God's loving arms Friday, March 30, 2012, at the age of 91. Beloved wife of Donald for 68 years. Loving mother of Sharon (Harry) McLean-Peterson. Grandma of Cory Peterson and great-grandma of Zack Peterson. Sister-in-law of Thecla McLean. Preceded in death by brother-in-law of Kenneth McLean. Also loved by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Our family will forever love and be grateful to her Luther Manor caregivers, who cared for her and loved her for over 8 years while she was on the Alzheimers Unit. June loved spending time with her family, traveling, playing cards with her friends and volunteering at her church, at the zoo and the Humane Society. She was a published writer of short stories, poems, and crossword puzzles.June was a devoted life time member of Mount Carmel Lutheran Church. June loved God and all God's creations; people, animals and nature. She devoted her life to trying to help and keep them safe and healthy. June left a loving mark on all with whom she came in contact.In lieu of flowers, memorials to Mount Carmel Lutheran Church or the Wisconsin Humane Society would be appreciated.Visitation Wednesday, Aptil 4, at Mount Carmel Lutheran Church, 8424 West Center Street, Milwaukee, 4:00-7:00 PM.
