Nieskes, Jon Anthony
Born into Eternal Life on Friday, February 21, 2025 at the age of 87, and now reunited with his wife, Judi.
Preceded in death by parents John and Dorothy Nieskes, brother Gordon Nieskes and sister Beverly Berger.
Proud father of Tony Nieskes (Dawn) and John Nieskes (Lizzie). Stepfather to Kevin Wojtasiak, Brian Wojtasiak, Jay Deau, Carrie, Tammy and David Deau. Loving uncle to Gordon (Angel), Curt, Troy, Danny, Jason Nieskes, Julie, and Michael Berger. Loving grandfather to Erich (Jessica), Steven (Allison), Michael Nieskes and “Lil” John Nieskes. Step grandfather to Jimmy and Sarah Wojtasiak. Loving great grandfather to Cameron, Lilly, Evan and Grayson. Also a special mention to Jodi and Ellie (Hueckstaedt-Miller) and Bob and Margo Ulrich. My apologies to anyone that may have been omitted.
For anyone who knew him, it comes as no surprise that he was brought into this world on Halloween (1937). He had a charm and wit that translated to his comedic delivery. He was loved by many. He was an avid Packer, Nascar and beer fan. He also enjoyed bowling and fishing in his younger years. He was an elite baseball and softball player. He was a one-of-a-kind person who will be missed dearly. Jon is a veteran who served in the Army. He served in the 232nd tank division and was activated during the Berlin crisis. His memory will always bring a warm smile and a chuckle. He was selfless in his friendships with Packer tickets and race tickets for many years. Jon was also an avid Sheepshead player, much of which were played at John Reichel’s Super Bowl parties. He had many friends which made him one of the richest people known. He was also a passionate Cudahy High School booster.
Special thank you to the Zienecki family from Reggie & Gerry’s Tavern.
‘You will be loved and missed by everyone whose life you touched.”
