Janet T. Goldsmith (nee Tippet)
Was born on December, 20 1928 and died on July 29th 2024. Loving wife of the late Fred for 55 years. Mother to Gwen, Barbi and Will Goldsmith. Grandmother to Cora Goldsmith, Annie Harmon and Greta Goldsmith.
Janet was an avid skier and tennis player, climbed The Eiger, and ski raced in college. She graduated from UW Madison and then was a manager at Shuster’s department store. In her marriage to Fred, she raised three children. Cori, Annie, and Greta affectionately knew her as “Tita.” She was a member of PEO, Heiliger Huegel Ski Club, The Jones Girls Investment Group, and Women’s Club of WI. She loved art and was an accomplished watercolor painter and pastel artist. Janet also adored spending time with her family at her childhood cottage in Dykesville, WI.
She will be missed by all who knew her, as she brought a light to everyone she met with her kind heart and unbreakable spirit.
Memorial Service will be held at Alexian Village, 9301 North 76th Street, Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Saturday, September 28, 2024. Visitation at 10:00 AM. Service at 11:00 AM with light lunch to follow.
